Urgent Care Facilities Address Back Pain Issues from Raking Leaves

For anyone who’s ever experienced raking leaves in autumn, it’s most likely a safe bet that it was one of those chores you never really took seriously as a kid. Now that you’re a bit older, and you have begun experiencing some lower back pain, it suddenly doesn’t seem like such a fun task anymore.

Why the Back Pain?

Medical professionals such as those from the Eagle River urgent care center say that the reason why back pain is usually associated with raking leaves, or any other similar chore, is that the movements put a strain on your back. It’s not just the rake that you’ll be handling, but also the container or wheelbarrow you’ll use to dispose of the raked leaves. Read more on this article:

Urgent Care and Walk for Life: How Daily Walks Lessen Health Risks

Fitness buffs sweat it out (literally) to find the most advanced, sophisticated workout they can find to maintain a healthy and well-sculpted physique. They go to gyms, engage in yoga or Pilates classes, or run several hours a week. Getting cardiovascular exercise for a new lease on life, however, doesn’t have to be that complex.

Walking Saves Lives

A report released by the Ramblers and Macmillian Cancer Support group found that walking for a considerable amount of time per day achieves the same result as running, and even lowers health risks. The report says walking about 25 minutes daily to fulfill the recommended 150 minutes per week of moderate exercise can actually save the life of 37,000 people every year. It could also lessen the incidence of Type 2 diabetes by 300,000 cases per year.

Abating Asthma before Rushing to an Eagle River Urgent Care Clinic

The upcoming Fish Creek Festival, to be held at the Barbara Street Park and Kiwanis Fish Creek Park, is the perfect venue for a family holiday. With lots of free food, music, and activities, you and your children can have fun while mingling with everyone else in the community.

Though it’s going to be an exciting day, you or anyone in your family who has asthma should be prepared for a possible attack. Bringing an inhaler is important given the allergens and asthma triggers in the parks, including dust, smoke, trees and grass.

Eagle River Campers Advised to Seek Urgent Care for Bug Bites Cure

They might be small, but bugs and insects are two of the most underrated menaces faced by most Eagle River campers. A simple insect or bug bite can lead to a number of more complicated situations if not treated immediately. For example, a single bee sting can lead to serious allergic reactions that can ultimately lead to death of the unfortunate victim.

This is why urgent care providers surrounding Eagle River campgrounds are doing everything they can to educate the various campers, as well as offer their medical services when needed.

Eagle River Urgent Care Clinics Share Safety Tips while Playing Golf

Looking for a great way to stretch those muscles and put your golfing skills to the test? You can join the 16th annual Best Golf Tournament in Alaska, happening on June 3 at the Settlers Bay Golf Course. As the name suggests, the tournament is bound to be a fabulous event, both for participants and spectators. While golf is a relatively low-impact sport, players can still get themselves injured. These injuries are often a result of poor mechanics or overuse. Most of the time, it is a player’s lower back, elbow, wrist, hand, and shoulder that get injured. Fortunately, these injuries can be prevented if you take these steps recommended by Eagle River urgent care providers.

Urgent Care in Eagle River: What to Do When ATV Adventures Go Wrong

With spring arriving soon, it's a perfect time to consider booking an ATV tour through leading agencies such as Alaska ATV Adventures and explore Eagle River, Alaska and nearby areas. Generally speaking, ATV tours are safe for the entire family due to the nature of the vehicles involved; however, it's still important to take important safety precautions while riding on any type of all-terrain vehicle. Wear Proper Gear Regardless of the type of ATV you're riding, proper gear is a must. ATVs don't have seat belts, so be prepared for a possible tumble with a quality helmet, goggles, gloves, and boots. Inspect Your Vehicle If you do any ATV riding on your own time outside of an organized tour, take time to inspect your vehicle. A pre-ride inspection typically includes evaluating tires for wear and visible signs of damage, checking controls, and ensuring that all ATV parts are properly lubricated.

A Pirate's Ship Can't Keep Eagle River Urgent Care Away

Urgent care in Eagle River is available to help you improve your level of well-being with prompt, affordable medical services when you need them. Few people plan to visit the urgent care clinic, and instead, they may have fun-filled plans made for the day. For example, you may have decided to live out a lifelong dream and go out on a pirate's adventure with Pirate's Hideaway. This is an adventure that puts you out on open water on a gorgeous pirate ship, and the entire theme of the cruise is pirate-based for excitement. Yet, like any adventure, you’ll need to watch out for these real-life baddies. Watch Out for the Edge While most will go on the cruise with Pirate's Hideaway without issue, you should still be careful around the edge of the boat. Some people will lean too far over the railing, or they may be bumped by mistake and could fall in.
